Day 30 - Anything you want to post about
Here it is, the last post of this challenge!
Since it’s almost 2011, I thought I would post a short New Year resolution list. I usually don’t make any, and when I do, I rarely follow through on them. Maybe this year can be different.
Stop procrastinating: I always say this, and it never changes. I did get better this past semester, but there is always room for improvement.
Be...
Grow the fuck up.
You’re insane. Why can’t you function like a normal person? You treat us like we’re idiots and we’re always in the wrong, but YOU are the one who is wrong. You are five years old: you whine and moan, and pout when you don’t get your way. You are the most immature person I have ever met in my life. You drive both of us absolutely crazy, but your oblivious to what you...
Day 29 - Ten life goals
Live in a foreign country for at least three months
Keep my mouth filling-free
Get a bulldog and name him Chutzpah
Never have a fake Christmas tree
Learn how to walk in heels
Have or adopt a child
Travel to the list of countries listed in Day 4 of this challenge
Become a better cook
Be able to send my children to college (if I ever have them)
Get married (this is a maybe)
Day 28 - Career goals
For a long time I was really confused about what I wanted to do. For the most part, nothing ever truly interested me. I was good at most subjects, but not particularly outstanding in anything. I don’t have any real talents and no real passions.
But I’ve finally decided to pursue the one thing that has always clung to my mind: teaching. I know it’s not profitable and the job...
Day 27 - College you are attending or want to...
That’s where I go, Marist College. I love it there, and I’m excited for my second semester of college!
On a side note: Damn you, American Government. You marred my GPA.
Day 26 - Favorite book
Don’t make me choose. It will kill me.
Day 25 - Favorite stores to buy clothes from
I don’t buy clothes very often.
Day 25 - Describe your day. Merry Christmas (:
This is a day late, but oh well.
It was an okay Christmas. I got to see family that I haven’t seen since I left for college. But…it just didn’t feel like Christmas this year.
Day 24 - If you could change your first name, what...
I don’t know. Before I hated my name, but now I kind of like it
Day 24 - Why is Christmas important to you?
It’s a time for family and friends, for generosity and love : )
Day 23 - Five people you are annoyed with right...
How am I supposed to do this without posting names? Hmm…
The non-communicator
The muffler
The pot of gold
The one who didn’t deserve it
The braggart
Day 23 - What is your absolute favorite part of...
Day 22 - Anything you want to post about
I am NOT looking forward to Christmas shopping tomorrow. The people I need shop for don’t like anything. They are the most difficult people in the world to please. And I question whether I have enough money to get them all something nice.
At least the package I sent from school got here, so some of my gifts are ready to wrap. If I only I could remember which one belongs to who…
Day 22 - Name all nine reindeer without using a...
1. Dasher
2. Dancer
3. Prancer
4. Vixen
5. Comet
6. Cupid
7. Donner
8. Blitzen
9. Rudolph
Reblog if you're a lip biter.
Day 21 - Person you can’t live without
My grandma. She might not be here, but as long as I think of her, she is still living.
Day 21 - A detailed explanation of what your house...
Lights around the living room window and on the doorway, decorations scattered about the house, stocking on the wall, the tree decorated and covered in lights.
Day 20 - Five people you are happy with right now...
1. Brysen
2. Mom
3. Dad
I don’t know who to put for the last two, because I haven’t interacted with anyone else lately : P
Day 20 - You have one Christmas wish. What is it?
I really want to be able to stay at Marist College for school. It’s not realistic, I know.
Day 19 - Random fact about you
I’ve developed this compulsion to constantly want to wash my face because it feels gross and oily, even when it isn’t.
Day 19 - Who is the most enthusiastic about the...
I guess…me?
Day 18 - If you could spend the holiday any place...
I would want to be surrounded by friends and family, somewhere with lots of snow : )
Day 18 - Favorite class/school subject
That’s hard…in high school, I really loved Biology my senior year, but I have always loved English (my intended major, with a concentration in Literature).
I guess it’s a tie?
Day 17 - Favorite genre of movies
It all really depends on the quality of the movie. I like watching dramas and mysteries, if they’re old (as in on TCM old). I like some comedies and action movies, and I adore Spaghetti Westerns.
I HATE horror movies. Or scary movies.
Day 17 - Describe your first Christmas memory
Um…the earliest Christmas I can recall, I remember lying next to the Christmas tree, listening to my mom read The Night Before Christmas.
Day 16 - Favorite Christmas book
Obviously, The Night Before Christmas.
Day 16 - What did you want to be as a child
When I was little I wanted to be a ballerina. Why? I have no idea…
Day 15 - Do you still believe in Santa Claus? If...
I don’t believe in him anymore. I think I used to…but I don’t recall ever “discovering” he didn’t exist. It was something I just accepted when I got older.
Day 14 - Ever sneaked a peak at a gift?
Nope.
Day 14 - Something you’re addicted to
Recently I have become extremely addicted to hot chocolate. I don’t know if it’s because of the cold weather or the easy access in the cafeteria, but it’s becoming a major problem.
Day 13 - Your favorite season and why
Growing up in Hawaii, I didn’t really experience seasons. If I had to choose one, it would be the “rainy season”, because I love rain and thunder and lightning and storms.
Now that I am in New York and am being to experience all four, I would have to say winter if my favorite as of right now. This could change.
Day 13 - Describe your typical Christmas Eve
Hmm…I don’t know. We do different things every year. When I was little my parents would read The Night Before Christmas to me, and we would hang up the stocking and put cookies and milk out for Santa Claus. When I got older we would sing carols. Now, we don’t really do anything special.
